Atoms and Elements
This video tells about the structure of an atom and an element. It also details about the protons, neutrons, and electrons.
An atom consists of nucleus and the outer shells. The nucleus comprises protons and neutrons. The outer shells contain the electrons. A proton is positively charged. A neutron is neutral. This means it neither contains the positive charge nor the negative charge. An electron is negatively charged.
The positive charge on the proton is neutralized by the negative charge on the electron. Therefore, an atom is electrically neutral.
